The CajaCanarias Foundation has recently launched the exhibition ‘Photographers of Nature 2022’ in La Laguna, which can be visited until 21 January in its cultural space located at number 1, Plaza del Adelantado.

The exhibition is made up of different snapshots that are nominated or prized in the different categories of the prestigious contest. With free admission, the visiting hours are from Monday to Saturday, from 10.00 to 13.30 hours, as well as on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays also in the afternoon, from 17.30 to 20.00 hours. All the information is now available on the CajaCanarias website.

The Nature Photographers competition has been held by the GDT – Gesellschaft für Naturfotografie (German Society of Nature Photographers) since 2001 and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022. The unique images of Europe’s best nature photographers in this competition show the beauty, uniqueness and fragility of the environment.

In the face of the global biodiversity and climate crisis, they also call for a respectful approach to nature and launch a call to action. For this reason, each edition of the competition focuses on photography that is equally committed to authenticity, nature conservation and artistic quality.
