La Gomera presents its tourist offer in Belgium and Latvia

The island of La Gomera invites you to discover nature through its unique landscapes, its ancient forests and cliffs to enjoy magnificent ocean views.

La Gomera will be presenting its holiday offer this weekend at the Balttour trade fair in Riga, Latvia, and at the Salon des Vacances in Brussels, Belgium, two of the main tourism events where hundreds of tourism professionals from different countries present their travel itineraries and destinations through exhibitors, seminars, competitions and conferences.

It will be the first time that the Tourism of La Gomera will be present at a professional visit in Latvia, in a commitment to an emerging market that has direct flights to the Canary Islands through the airline Air Baltic and tour operators such as Balttour and Novaturas, which connect the capital with the airports of Tenerife South and Gran Canaria.

Balttour is one of the most important fairs in the Baltic States, which kicks off its 29th season from 3 to 5 February, after attracting more than 28,000 visitors in the last edition in 2020. On this occasion, it has an area for the offer of Latvia, its districts and cities, as well as an area for international tour operators, the hotel sector, agencies, organisations, transport companies and financial service providers.

The 64th edition of the Salon des Vacances is being held from Thursday 2 to Sunday 5, with more than 250 exhibitors from all over the world. Under the motto ‘food from around the world’ and with an area called Cooking Theatre, gastronomy is the main theme of the fair this year.

La Gomera will be presented at both events as a tourist destination suitable for all types of holidays. This was underlined by the island’s president, Casimiro Curbelo: “We are targeting a public interested in enjoying a pleasant holiday thanks to the mild climate we enjoy all year round – also during the winter season -, the exquisite island gastronomy and the variety of outdoor activities available, which makes the island the ideal destination”.
