Restaurants “fully booked” for the Carnival of the Day in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Some of the most popular and central establishments in the capital of Tenerife claim that they have had all their tables reserved for weeks now.

“We are full, sorry”. This is the phrase that one is more and more likely to hear when trying to book a table in the restaurants of Santa Cruz de Tenerife during the Carnival of the Day, which will be held this Saturday, 25 February, in the capital of Tenerife.

Some of the most popular and central establishments in the municipality have assured that they have had all their tables reserved for weeks: “This year people have come quite early”. Others, on the other hand, have opted to serve their customers on a first-come, first-served basis during the carnival day.

The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Town Hall admitted yesterday that it is preparing for a massive turnout over the “Piñata” weekend with a programme that will last from Friday evening until the early hours of Sunday morning.

CARNIVAL OF THE DAY PROGRAMME

On Saturday, Santa Cruz de Tenerife will experience its second day of Daytime Carnival, with the programme starting at midday. The artists who will perform until six in the morning on the stage of the Plaza de la Candelaria, will be the carnival comparsas, Reyes del Boncho, David Civera, Coyote Dax, K-Narias, King Africa, Johnny Maquinaria, Henry Méndez, Dasoul, Melody, Frantana, Arodi Llanos, Ariel de Cuba, Virginia Guantanamera and Killian Viera.

Jimeno y Los Niños, El Pulpo, Ni 1 Pelo de Tonto, Depol, Orquesta Bembé, Musically Show, Orquesta Columbia and Orquesta Guaydil will perform at the same time in the Plaza del Príncipe.

On the Francisco La Roche stage, there will be a line-up of Latin artists headed by Manny Manuel, Oscar de León, La India and Tony Tun Tun, who from 2.30 p.m. will form part of a line-up that also includes DJ Latino, Morocho, Elías Uche, and Jadel, ending at 6 a.m. with a performance by DJ Jonay.
