Overall rise in temperatures in the Canary Islands

The maximum temperatures in the Canary Islands could reach 30 degrees Celsius in the south and west-facing midlands of the outermost islands.

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has announced a general rise in temperatures in the Canary Islands, which could be moderate, mainly in inland areas of the islands.

Although the increase will be gradual over the next few days, it will be starting next Saturday when the thermometers could reach a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius in the south and west-facing midlands of the islands with the highest elevations.

Likewise, a low probability of light calima is expected on the islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura during the weekend.

In general, the skies will be partly cloudy or clear, except for intervals of high clouds moving from west to east of the archipelago as the day progresses, as the AEMET forecasts.

The wind will blow from the northeast with some strong intervals during the first half of Saturday in the areas where the trade winds usually accelerate. On the peaks, the wind will be predominantly easterly.
