HiperDino to expand its logistics centre in Tenerife by 45%

HiperDino is the leading chain in the food sector in the Archipelago and the only regional chain that is 100% Canarian.

HiperDino is continuing work on the 45% extension of its logistics centre located in the municipality of Güímar, in Tenerife. This is a necessary project for the chain due to the increase in the volume of business it is experiencing year after year, and for which it has invested 20 million euros.

At present, the HiperDino logistics centre in Güímar has a current surface area of 19,172 square metres and, after the completion of the project, it will have more than 34,000 square metres. This represents an increase of approximately 45% of its surface area.

Work on this new construction is 90% complete on the structure, 45% on the partition walls, 42% on the façade enclosures, 15% on the flooring and another 15% on the waterproofing of the roof.

Work has already begun on the installations, with 20% of the sanitation hanging and 50% of the fire sprinkler system. In two weeks’ time, work will begin on the new façade finishings. The work is expected to be completed in September of this year, after which the renovation of the existing platform will begin.

The possibility of installing a photovoltaic solar plant on the roof is also being studied at the moment, with the aim of drastically reducing electricity consumption and making this logistics centre much more energy efficient.
