The weather forecast for today in the Canary Islands indicates that the skies will be partly cloudy with intervals of medium and high clouds and with intervals of low clouds in the northern coastal areas of the islands.
Likewise, there will be the presence of haze, spreading throughout the archipelago during the day, more significant in the midlands and high areas, according to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
Temperatures will rise slightly, especially in Tenerife, where the maximum temperatures in the southern half of the island will be locally noticeable. The thermometers will oscillate between the maximum of 25 degrees in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the minimum of 12 degrees in Valverde.
The wind will blow from the northeast with strong intervals and occasional very strong gusts on exposed slopes, especially on the northwest and southeast slopes of the islands early in the morning and at the end of the day. At higher altitudes there will be a southeasterly wind.
The weather forecast for the province of Las Palmas indicates that in Gran Canaria there will be cloudy skies with a predominance of medium and high clouds from midday onwards, tending to be partly cloudy or clear. In addition, cloudy intervals are expected in the early hours in low areas of the north and the presence of haze, more significant in the midlands and high areas.
According to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura there will be cloudy intervals of medium and high clouds that will tend to be partly cloudy or clear in the afternoon. There is a possibility of haze, which will be more significant in the upper layers.
As for temperatures, they will rise, which may be slightly higher in inland areas of the southern and western half of the island. In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the maximum temperature will range between 23 degrees and 17 degrees.
Finally, the wind will blow from the northeast with strong intervals and occasionally very strong gusts on the northwest and southeast slopes, especially in the early and late hours. On peaks, the wind will be from the southeast.
