The weather forecast for the Canary Islands this Monday, 10 April, indicates that there will be lightly cloudy or clear skies with intervals of low clouds on the north coast and the presence of calima that will especially affect the midlands and high areas during the second half of the day, as reported by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro and Tenerife will have gusts of strong wind close to 75km/h, affecting mainly in the early and late hours, which will cause waves in the late hours of Monday due to wind from the northeast.
Temperatures will rise moderately, with a notable rise in the highs in the midlands and on the eastern, southern and western slopes, where they will exceed 30 degrees Celsius.
In the Canary Islands, low cloud at the beginning in the north of the mountainous islands, intervals of medium and high clouds in the east of the archipelago and partly cloudy or clear in the rest of the archipelago. Calima is likely in the Canary Islands.
Trade winds will prevail in the Canary Islands, with intervals of strong intensity in the west of the archipelago. Predominantly light variable or westerly winds in the rest of the country, somewhat stronger on the north coast, the Ebro and around the Strait of Gibraltar.
