As part of its solidarity programmes within its social responsibility strategy, the Hotel Botánico & The Oriental Spa Garden has joined the “Rehabilitation and Training Programme for Breast Cancer Patients” of Ámate, Tenerife’s breast cancer association, through their participation in the donation of a solidarity cheque from the Rotary Club and the Puerto de la Cruz Town Hall.
The cheque will be used to purchase an electric stretcher for rehabilitation therapy for users who suffer from this disease and can be treated in the municipal space that the association has in the Miguel Àngel Díaz Molina pavilion.
The handover ceremony took place in the plenary hall of the Puerto de la Cruz Town Hall, led by the president of the Rotary Club, Manuel Florián, and attended by the mayor, Marco González; the councillor for Social Law, Jonás Santana; Delia Rodríguez, representative and member of the board of directors of Ámate and Gustavo Escobar, Director of the Hotel Botánico & The Oriental Spa Garden.
After the mayor and the councillor highlighted the importance of the work carried out by the Ámate association and the impact that this donation will have on the quality of life of the women who are part of this organisation, Gustavo Escobar, commented that “for the Hotel it is very pleasing to be able to join causes like these, in which we can contribute to improving the health of women who suffer from this disease”.
