The ‘Bold’ exhibition opens at El Corte Ingles in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

El Corte Ingles in Santa Cruz de Tenerife becomes a host of the "Bold" exhibition organized by Race for Life Foundation and Diario de Avisos Foundation to raise awareness of the fight against breast cancer.

Race for Life Foundation and Diario de Avisos Foundation have once again come together in the fight against breast cancer, on this occasion to inaugurate the International Exhibition BOLD, by Caroline Sikkenk, in the Sala de Ámbito Cultural of El Corte Inglés de Tres de Mayo, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The photographic exhibition brings together a series of 24 striking images of women who have gone through the disease and show the beauty of their naked faces. With the support of Think Pink Europe, a non-profit organisation that works internationally to fight breast cancer, this exhibition has toured the main European cities, becoming an emblem of the bravery and courage of these women.

The emotional event included the testimonies of Hermi and Mónica, the protagonists of the photographs taken in the Canary Islands, who told the audience what an extraordinary experience it has been for them to take part in this project. This exhibition project aims to destigmatise the image of people with cancer and send a message of hope to society.

The opening of the exhibition was also attended by Priscila González, project director of Fundación Diario de Avisos, and Marcos Afonso, secretary of Fundación Carrera por la Vida, who highlighted the enormous commitment to mutual collaboration of both entities for several years, and the exceptional message and values conveyed by this photographic exhibition. The exhibition will remain open to the public until 24 May from 9:30 am to 9:30 pm.
