Primark to open a new shop in the Canary Islands in June

The new Primark shop will create more than 100 new jobs, which the company believes will boost the local economy.

Primark, the international retail company, will open a new shop on 22 June in the Open Mall shopping centre in Arrecife, on the island of Lanzarote, the 58th establishment in Spain. The new shop will create more than 100 new jobs, which the company says will help boost the local economy, according to a press release from Primark.

The establishment will have more than 3,100 square metres of retail space where customers will be able to find fashion trends, everyday essentials, beauty, leisure and household items “at affordable prices for everyone”.

The director of Primark Spain and Portugal, Carlos Inacio, said they are looking forward to welcoming customers and employees to the fantastic new shop in Lanzarote. This is another exciting moment for Primark as it continues to expand its presence in Spain.

For their part, the Open Mall Lanzarote shopping centre says they are “very proud that such a prestigious international brand has placed its trust” in this location to open its first shop on the island, which they understand “multiplies the added value of the shopping centre, which will facilitate the achievement of the goals” proposed.
