HiperDino staff get involved in the clean-up of the Socorro beach

Employees of HiperDino have managed to collect 235 kg of waste in a day in which family and friends also wanted to join in.

HiperDino workers on the island of Tenerife took part yesterday in a day of cleaning and environmental awareness on the Socorro beach, on the coast of Güímar (Tenerife), during which they managed to collect 235 kg of waste including plastic, wood and other rubbish.

This action, promoted by the DinoSol Foundation and the Terramare Environmental Association, is part of the actions that HiperDino, through the DinoSol Foundation, sets up for its volunteers, all of them workers of the company, and always aimed at social, sporting and environmental causes.

In addition, the celebration coincided with the eve of World Environment Day, a commemoration that seeks to raise awareness among the population about the importance of caring for ecosystems and promoting respect for the environment.

The aim of this special day was also to promote the importance of preserving the Canary Islands’ coasts, helping to reduce the waste that ends up in the sea and has serious consequences for the marine ecosystem.

Fundación DinoSol will continue to develop actions aimed at caring for the environment and which require everyone’s involvement.
