Royal Air Maroc resumes direct connection between Tenerife and Casablanca

Suspended during the pandemic, this Royal Air Maroc route now has two frequencies per week each way: Thursdays and Saturdays.

The airline Royal Air Maroc is resuming its connection between Tenerife and Casablanca with 2,170 seats for this winter season. Suspended during the pandemic, this route now has two frequencies per week each way: on Thursdays and Saturdays.

The island’s Director of Tourism, Laura Castro, stresses that “the return of Royal Air Maroc represents a strategic added value to the diversification and internationalisation of the destination, as Mohamed V airport is an important node of connectivity with the Middle East, the United States and Canada”.

Castro adds that the The Island Council “is working hard to expand connectivity with these markets, also through Madrid, Lisbon and Reykjavik”. The Royal Air Maroc route is operated by a 70-seater ATR 72.

The chief executive of Tenerife Tourism Board, David Pérez, points to new tourist circuits for North American travellers.
