Six destinations in the Canary Islands, among the most hospitable in Spain

The ranking that spotlighted the Canary Islands destinations is based on positive user ratings.

According to Airbnb, the leading holiday accommodation company, the travel trends for the summer of 2023 among Spaniards highlight the Canary Islands as the most welcoming coastal destination. In their analysis of coastal destinations in Spain, Airbnb identified the places with the highest percentage of positive ratings on their platform.


The Canary Islands have emerged as the standout choice, with the highest number of cities and towns receiving top ratings. A total of six locations in the archipelago have made it onto the ranking. These include El Sauzal, Santa Úrsula, La Matanza de Acentejo, Tacoronte, Los Realejos, and Garachico.

The list also features Fisterra, Poio, and O Grove in Galicia, as well as Hondarribia in the Basque Country. Additionally, the town of Conil, located in the municipality of Tías in Lanzarote, has gained popularity as a domestic destination among Spaniards for this summer.
