Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts is experiencing a surge in occupancy rates and sales growth, with an overall occupancy of 91% in its Tenerife and Majorca hotels for the season, and 81% in the global market.

Despite the context of inflation, the desire to travel remains strong, as evident from the figures reported by the hotel division of the Piñero Group. Sales have increased by 8% for the Spanish market and 6% for the global market compared to the previous year.

According to Lluisa Salord, SVP Global Sales, Contracting, and Distribution, these numbers reflect the positive state of Spanish tourism and the continuous demand, both domestic and international, for travel.

In terms of Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts, the source markets that have experienced the highest growth in demand compared to 2022 are the United Kingdom, Holland, and France for the Spanish market. However, the main source markets for Spain are still the United Kingdom, followed by Germany and Spain itself.

On a global scale, there are shifts in the markets. While the United States, Europe, and Canada remain the primary outbound markets, there has been growth in the Latin American traveler segment compared to 2022.

Corresponding to these figures, the destinations with the highest demand are Tenerife within Spain and the Dominican Republic globally, with the regions of Samaná and La Romana experiencing the most significant growth compared to 2022, thanks to increased flights by Soltour, a tour operator also owned by the Piñero Group.
