Canary Islands successfully position as a benchmark congress destination in London

Canary Islands Tourims attended The Meetings Show in London to showcase the islands as a benchmark destination in the MICE category.

In each edition, the Meetings Show provides event organizers with the opportunity to meet with hundreds of suppliers and keep abreast of the latest trends, as well as streamline the event planning process and expand their network of contacts. Over two days (June 28 and 29), some 1,500 meetings were held between service providers and buyers from all over the world, including companies from more than 70 international destinations such as hotels, event management companies, congress and convention centers, among others.

Canary Islands Tourism participated in the meeting in the Turespaña space, where meetings were held with some twenty representatives of companies from 11 countries to publicize the varied accommodation offer of the Islands, as well as their wide range of complementary and highly specialized services linked to the different island destinations.

The fair has more than 50% of the buyers identified as interested in holding incentives and conventions in Spain, making it an essential platform for attracting a sector that generates a significant volume of business for the Islands. In addition, we intend to reinforce the affective link between the destination and the end client and to associate the image of the Canary Islands with a quality offer focused on a high-level target.
