Tenerife to enjoy the first drone show on the island this Saturday

The exhibition in Santiago del Teide, Tenerife, will last 10 minutes and will be respectful of the environment and vulnerable groups.

Santiago del Teide is set to make history as the first municipality on the island of Tenerife to host a spectacular drone swarm. On Saturday, July 15, the skies over Puerto Santiago will be illuminated by hundreds of drones in an extraordinary display, marking the first of its kind on the island.

The mesmerizing show will span 10 minutes, embracing the principles of environmental sustainability by offering a pollution-free and noiseless experience.

This innovative display also signifies a significant advancement in the realm of nighttime entertainment, prioritizing the well-being of animals and vulnerable groups, such as individuals with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), minors, and the elderly, who are disproportionately affected by the effects of traditional pyrotechnics.

Starting in the south of Tenerife, this captivating drone show will eventually extend its reach to encompass the entire island, providing a unique and unforgettable experience for the public.

While similar shows have been witnessed in other parts of the Canary Islands, they gained widespread acclaim through their incorporation into major sporting events like the Olympic Games and the World Cup in Qatar.

Sky Art, a local company based in Tenerife and Gran Canaria, has taken charge of these groundbreaking shows, bringing this awe-inspiring experience to life in the archipelago.
