The Development Society of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has unveiled the upcoming gastronomic activities that will take place in the capital until November to the hotel sector. Carmen Pérez, the chief executive of the organization, made this announcement after a productive meeting with hotel representatives held at the Hotel Escuela.
During the meeting, attended by Ashotel representatives and major hotel chains in the capital such as AC Hoteles, Silken, and Iberostar, as well as establishments like Hotel Escuela, Adonis, Hotel Occidental Santa Cruz Contemporáneo, and Taburiente, Carmen Pérez introduced the “GastroHotel Week” initiative scheduled to take place between September and November. This event aims to promote the culinary offerings of Santa Cruz hotels.
Pérez explained, “This new initiative involves hotels collaborating with renowned regional chefs to create a special menu, dish, or tapa, which will be available at an affordable price for a week. These culinary creations will showcase products from Anaga, zero-kilometer ingredients, and Canarian products. Guests will also have the option to pair their meal with a wine from the DO Tacoronte-Acentejo.”
She further added, “To promote and publicize this event in the weeks leading up to its commencement, the participating chefs will record two-minute audiovisual pieces featuring their recipes, along with a trailer highlighting the event. We plan to organize approximately 10 sessions between September and November, which will serve as both culinary experiences and promotional opportunities.”
The presentation of these upcoming gastronomic activities to the hotel sector aims to enhance the culinary reputation of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and foster collaboration between hotels and renowned chefs, while also providing locals and visitors with a unique dining experience highlighting the flavors of the region.
