Santa Cruz de Tenerife to Host Canarias Salsa Open in September

From September 1 to 3, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, will host a grand salsa event welcoming the participation of residents from the Islands.

This September, Santa Cruz de Tenerife will host the renowned international event, Canarias Salsa Open, a major Latin dance competition known for its technical demand, acrobatics, and passion for dance excellence.


From September 1 to 3, the capital of Tenerife will once again come alive with one of the biggest salsa events, featuring categories for couples and soloists, with registrations open on www.salsaopencanarias.com since June.

Winners of this year’s edition will secure a spot in the final of the Megadancers European Salsa League championship, also taking place in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Canarias Salsa Open.

The event, organized jointly with hundreds of academies and teachers from European countries, will turn Santa Cruz de Tenerife into the European dance capital, hosting competitions at La Cascada events hall on September 1 and 3, and the ‘Baile Social’ on September 2. The Pool Party has transformed into a Beach Party near the Cucumprá kiosk on Las Teresitas Beach.

Notable workshops by Got Talent All Stars 2023 champions, Steffany & Yeeremy, and Silvio González, director of the World Salsa Open and Megadancers European Salsa League, will be held at the Studio 54 Dance academy in Parque Marítimo.
