The air quality in the aftermath of the woodland fire that has impacted the island since the previous Tuesday remains highly unfavourable across 17 local authorities in Tenerife, notably in Los Realejos, La Orotava, and Arafo.
The Coordinating Centre for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) 112 has highlighted in an official statement that the smoke generated by forest fires comprises a blend of gases and minuscule particles released through the burning of vegetation and other substances.
