As predicted, new outbreaks of the forest fire on Tenerife occurred during the night of Saturday and Sunday. The fire is currently in the stabilization phase, particularly in the northern part of the island.
The firefighting personnel have been working diligently since the early hours of the morning to achieve complete control over the fire. This fire, which was declared on August 15th, has prompted their efforts to focus on cooling down the affected areas.

AIR QUALITY IN LA OROTAVA DUE TO NEW FIRE REACTIVATION
Unfortunately, the air quality in the municipality of La Orotava is currently unfavorable due to the smoke generated by the ongoing forest fire. Despite recent improvements in the affected areas, the Emergency Plan for Forest Fires in the Canary Islands (Infoca) has issued a warning for adverse conditions in La Orotava today.
