Monday’s weather forecast for the Canary Islands

On Monday, cloudy skies are anticipated in the northern regions of the Canary Islands, while the rest of the areas will experience clear conditions.

The weather forecast for Monday in the Canary Islands offers a detailed outlook for the region. According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), the day will bring a mix of conditions across the islands.

Starting with the northern parts of the islands, cloudy intervals are expected. This means that while there might be periods of cloud cover, there will also be breaks allowing some sunlight to filter through. On the other hand, the rest of the areas, particularly the central and southern regions, are anticipated to have clear skies. This suggests that these areas will enjoy bright and sunny conditions throughout the day.

In terms of temperatures, a slight to moderate drop is forecasted. This decrease will primarily impact maximum temperatures, implying that the daytime heat might not be as intense as usual. This cooling effect could provide a more comfortable environment for residents and visitors alike.

Moving on to the weather warnings, the islands of the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, which includes Tenerife, La Gomera, La Palma, and El Hierro, as well as Gran Canaria, are currently under a yellow warning for strong wind and waves. This warning is expected to remain in effect until midnight on Sunday, and the risk of strong winds is likely to continue into Monday.

In terms of wind conditions, the Aemet predicts gusts of wind blowing from the northeast at speeds ranging from 60 to 71 kilometers per hour (km/h), reaching force 7 on the Beaufort scale. This could lead to some blustery conditions, particularly in the mentioned areas.

The forecast also provides island-specific details for Monday:
