The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts a calmer day for the Canary Islands this Wednesday, with winds from the northeast blowing less intensely compared to earlier days. However, strong gusts are expected on the southeast and northwest slopes.
In terms of sky conditions, northern regions of the bigger islands and Lanzarote can expect cloudy intervals, though these will clear up during midday. The rest of the areas will remain mostly clear or experience only minimal cloudiness, except for sporadic cloudy intervals in the north of Fuerteventura during early morning and late evening.
As for temperatures, little variation is anticipated. However, a minor decrease in maximum temperatures is expected on the coasts facing west.
Sea conditions are slated to be challenging, with a north to northeast wind registering a generalised force between 4 and 6 across all islands. Rough sea conditions are particularly expected in the western province and Gran Canaria, whereas swells are forecasted for Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
