The Canary Islands see a return of the calima

According to AEMET there will be a rise in temperatures in the Canary Islands.

On Wednesday, the Canary Islands will experience a modest rise in temperatures, particularly in inland regions, as per the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecast. The eastern islands may also see a slight presence of haze at higher altitudes.

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) predicts mainly light cloud cover across various Canary Islands, with occasional high cloud intervals. Low cloud intervals are also anticipated, primarily on the western islands.

For winds, expect light northeasterly winds that will shift to southwesterly in high areas by the afternoon. Central summits of Tenerife will experience moderate southwesterly winds, which may intensify during the afternoon.

Calima arrives again in the Canary Islands.

As for marine conditions, northeasterly winds will blow with a force of 2 to 4 across most Canary coasts, except around La Palma where lighter and more variable winds are forecasted. The sea is expected to be either rough or swelly, with northwesterly swells that could reach heights of up to 2 metres.
