As a precautionary measure, a red flag has been raised, indicating the temporary prohibition of bathing.
The Town Council emphasizes that only the central beach and Leocadio Machado Beach have exceeded the permitted bathing levels. It’s important to note that previous water quality samples taken in recent days indicated good conditions. However, the latest results received today have shown that the Enterococci parameter has exceeded the allowable limit.
Today, on Wednesday, additional water samples have been collected for further analysis by the municipal service. The Town Council has taken this action to ensure the safety of the public.
