The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a yellow weather warning for the Canary Islands starting this Saturday due to an episode of high temperatures, particularly in inland areas, and the presence of high-altitude haze in the western province, which will extend to the eastern province, resulting in skies with intervals of medium and high clouds.
Winds are expected to be generally light, blowing from the northeast along the coasts and from the east in the midlands. In the central summits of Tenerife, winds may be strong from the south, gradually moderating during the morning.
Regarding the sea conditions, winds will come from the north or northeast, generally with a force of 2 to 4. There will be some swell or rough seas, occasionally reaching strong swell in specific areas of the Canary coast. The swell will be from the north or northwest, with a height of 1 to 2 meters.
