All set for the debut of Atlántico Televisión’s programming, the Canary Islands’ first private regional channel

Over fifty professionals are involved in this ambitious audiovisual project, marking the first-ever continuous television news program broadcasted throughout the entire archipelago.

Over the weekend, ATLANTICO TELEVISIÓN kicked off the countdown to its programming premiere. This groundbreaking private regional channel in the Canary Islands, established by GRUPO PLATÓ DEL ATLÁNTICO, in partnership with DIARIO DE AVISOS and ATLÁNTICO RADIO, is set to launch its regional and provincial news programs on Monday. This ambitious audiovisual project boasts a team of over fifty professionals and marks a historic moment as it introduces a continuous news program covering the entire Canary Islands, featuring current affairs from both the local islands and the broader world.

Having initiated test broadcasts on May 30, 2022, ATLÁNTICO TELEVISIÓN holds the distinction of being the first private channel to transmit its regional signal on the same DTT system as the Canary Islands’ regional TV. The channel will provide local news updates for all the islands every 30 minutes, along with segments dedicated to archipelago weather, cultural and cinematic content, and coverage of noteworthy events. The channel is set to unveil a prestigious roster of collaborators, with more details to be announced tomorrow.
