The wealthiest towns of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife province unveiled

In the wealthiest town of the Canary Islands, the average gross annual income per resident stands at 37,735 euros.

The Canary Islands Institute of Statistics (ISTAC) provides a table with annual data on average gross income organised by territory and period, so that we can extract this information for each town in the Canary Islands.


As of the latest available data, the Canary Islands boast an average gross income of 12,880 euros per person, while the average gross income for households reaches an impressive 34,875 euros. Yet, when we focus our attention on the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, it becomes evident that there is an unequivocal champion in both categories.

The wealthiest towns of the Canary Islands unveiled.


Drawing from the authoritative statistics provided by ISTAC, the title of the richest municipality in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as measured by the average gross income per inhabitant, rightfully belongs to El Rosario in Tenerife, where residents enjoy an average income of 17,459 euros.

In the second position, with a noticeable gap, is Valverde, situated on the picturesque island of El Hierro, boasting an average income of 15,391 euros. Securing the third and fourth spots, we return to Tenerife, specifically to Tegueste and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with incomes of 15,212 euros and 15,108 euros, respectively.

THE WEALTHIEST TOWN IN THE PROVINCE OF SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE PER HOUSEHOLD

When we shift our focus to the average gross income per household, El Rosario once again emerges as the wealthiest municipality, where households enjoy an average income of 48,748 euros. Tegueste and El Sauzal, both located in Tenerife, follow closely with incomes of 43,875 euros and 40,679 euros, respectively. The fourth position is held by Breña Baja, nestled on the serene island of La Palma, with an average household income of 40,589 euros.
