Four hotels in the Canary Islands have been nominated for the 2024 Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence, an esteemed recognition created over two decades ago to acknowledge and celebrate the excellence of recommended establishments in their guide.
Spain boasts an additional seven nominated hotels across various categories, including new or recently renovated hotels, best service, best urban hotels, best spas, best spa destinations, best family hotels, and best sustainable hotels, among others.
The eagerly anticipated awards ceremony is scheduled for November 6th in London and will be livestreamed on Condé Nast Johansens’ social media channels, with winners being announced during the event.
Here are the nominees from the Canary Islands
- Best Spa Hotel: Hotel Botánico & The Oriental Spa Garden (Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife)
- Best Gastronomic Experience: Royal Hideaway Corales Resort (Adeje, Tenerife)
- Best Service: Bahía del Duque (Adeje, Tenerife)
- Best Service: Santa Catalina, a Royal Hideaway Hotel (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria)
The Balearic Archipelago also boasts several nominations
- Best New or Recently Renovated Hotel: El Vicenç de La Mar (Majorca)
- Best Service: Es Príncipe (Mallorca)
- Best Urban Hotel: El Llorenç Parque de La Mar (Majorca)
- Best for Ecological Practices and Sustainability: Cas Gasí (Ibiza)
The nominees from mainland Spain
- Best Destination Spa: Castilla Termal Monasterio de Valbuena (Castilla y León)
- Best Country Hotel: Palacio de Luces By Coolrooms Manor Hotels (Asturias)
- Best for Families: SO/Sotogrande (Cádiz)
It’s worth noting that in the previous edition, two of the nominated hotels in Tenerife, Hotel Botánico & The Oriental Spa Garden and Bahía del Duque, were already winners, with the former receiving the award for Best Spa Hotel and the latter winning Best Destination Spa.
