During the summer season, spanning from June to September, the César Manrique Maritime Park in Santa Cruz de Tenerife welcomed a total of 196,028 visitors. This marked a significant 9% increase compared to the same period in the previous year, resulting in 16,320 more visitors.
Javier Rivero, the President of the Park’s Board of Directors, highlighted that these statistics establish the park as “one of the preferred recreational destinations for the residents of Tenerife’s capital city.”
Rivero emphasized that the park’s success can be attributed to various factors, including the expansion of activities within the establishment, facility enhancements, and consistent, efficient maintenance. These efforts have collectively contributed to creating a top-notch leisure experience for both local residents and tourists, right in the heart of the city.
Furthermore, the park’s strategic commercial policies, such as voucher issuance and online ticket sales, along with the occurrence of multiple heatwaves during the summer season, have played a role in bolstering visitor numbers for this campaign. This boost serves as a counterbalance to the lower visitation figures typically seen during the winter months when weather conditions affect attendance.
As of September 30th, the accumulated number of visitors for the year reached 254,512 individuals, marking a substantial increase of 38,024 visitors compared to the previous year, representing a growth of 17.56%.
Rivero expressed optimism about maintaining this level of visitor intensity in the upcoming weeks, stating that they will continue organizing a variety of initiatives and activities to ensure a satisfying experience for visitors. He emphasized that the park offers activities suitable for all age groups and interests, complementing the main attraction, which are its splendid pools.
