The heat is making a comeback in the Canary Islands as the “summer of San Martín” is set to begin tomorrow, according to the weather forecase by State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
For Monday, the Canary Islands can expect partly cloudy to clear skies, with occasional cloudiness along the northern coasts and midlands during the early and late hours. There may also be a presence of light haze at high altitudes throughout the day. Maximum temperatures could reach up to 30 degrees Celsius.
Variable-direction light winds will be predominant, gradually shifting to the northeast along the coasts and east in inland areas, medianías, and summits. The coastal areas will experience predominantly breezy conditions.
Regarding sea conditions, northeast winds with force 4 or 5 are anticipated along most of the Canary coasts, with a possibility of swell or waves increasing to strong swell on several islands. Additionally, there will be a northwesterly swell measuring 1 to 2 meters in height.

Expect fairly cloudy to clear skies, except for some cloudy intervals in the north during the early hours of the morning and inland areas, which may locally give rise to a fog bank. Inland areas on the southeastern slope may see temperatures reaching up to 30°C. Light northeasterly winds along the coast, slightly stronger and easterly in inland areas.

Locally, temperatures may reach 30°C, particularly in inland areas of the southern half. Light northeasterly winds along the coast, slightly stronger and easterly inland.

GRAN CANARIA

Light haze is possible in high areas from midday onwards. Minimum temperatures will rise, especially in the peaks and southwest slope, with noticeable changes. Highs will increase slightly to moderately, more pronounced in south-facing midlands, where temperatures may locally reach 30°C. Light northeasterly winds along the coast, slightly stronger on the southeast and extreme northwest. In the midlands and summits, expect light to moderate easterly winds, intensifying toward the end of the day. Predominantly breezy conditions will prevail along the coasts.

TENERIFE
Anticipate clear to partly cloudy skies with high cloudiness and some cloudy intervals on the coasts and northern midlands in the early and late hours. There’s a low probability of light haze at high altitudes from midday onwards, possibly reaching the summits of El Teide. Minimum temperatures will remain stable along the coast and rise moderately in central summits, northwestern midlands, and the La Esperanza area, where it could be locally noticeable.
Maximum temperatures will increase slightly to moderately, with more significant changes in the southeastern midlands and the La Esperanza area, where it could be locally noticeable. Temperatures may locally reach 30°C in the south. Expect light variable-direction winds, becoming moderate northeasterly winds along the coast and easterly winds in the midlands by the end of the day. In high areas, including central peaks, light variable-direction winds will predominate, mainly from the east. Predominantly breezy conditions are expected along the coasts.
