Weather forecast amid early warnings for the Canary Islands

In the Canary Islands, the forecast indicates that both minimum and maximum temperatures are set to rise once again.

The weather forecast for this Tuesday in the Canary Islands, as provided by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), predicts intervals of medium and high clouds. There is a low chance of some weak, occasional, and scattered rainfall, along with light haze that is expected to dissipate by the end of the day.

Minimum temperatures across the islands are set to rise slightly or moderately, while maximum temperatures will see a slight increase. On the coasts, particularly on the northern and western slopes, temperatures might reach up to 30 degrees Celsius.

The wind will blow moderately from the east along the coasts. In the midlands and summits, stronger south-easterly winds are expected, with very strong gusts likely on El Hierro and La Gomera, and possible on Tenerife and La Palma. The central summits of Tenerife will experience moderate south-westerly winds.

In Gran Canaria, the forecast includes intervals of medium and high clouds accompanied by calima, which is expected to gradually lessen. Similarly, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura will experience medium and high cloud intervals with calima, which will also gradually diminish.

Coastal and low-lying areas on the northern and western slopes may see temperatures locally reaching around 30ºC. In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the expected high is 27ºC and the low is around 23ºC.

Moderate easterly winds are expected on the coasts and south-easterly winds in the midlands and higher areas. These winds are forecast to weaken and shift to a north-easterly direction by the end of the day.
