Today’s weather forecast for the Canary Islands suggests predominantly cloudy skies with potential for occasional, generally light rain, particularly in the northern and southern parts of the islands. There is also a chance of locally moderate showers in these areas.


The minimum temperatures are expected to remain stable or decrease slightly, while the maximum temperatures will experience a slight to moderate drop, more pronounced in the midlands and higher regions. Temperature readings will vary from a high of 25 degrees Celsius in San Sebastián de La Gomera to a low of 17 degrees Celsius in Santa Cruz de La Palma.

A light northerly wind is expected, with stronger gusts in the eastern and western parts of the islands. In the central summits of Tenerife, a moderate north wind is forecast, with occasional very strong gusts.

For Friday, 24th of November, the forecast for Gran Canaria indicates mostly clear skies with some cloudiness in the morning in the lower and midland northern areas, shifting to more cloudy intervals in the north and inland towards the day’s end. There is a possibility of light rainfall, which could turn moderately intense in the southern midlands and coasts in the first half of the day, and weaker rains in the north from the evening onwards.

Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are also expected to see mostly clear skies, progressing to cloudy intervals from noon, as per the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

The maximum temperatures at the summits of these islands will be on a downward trend, with slightly lower temperatures elsewhere; the minimum temperatures will remain unchanged or decrease slightly. In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, maximum temperatures are anticipated to be around 23ºC, with minimum temperatures dropping to 19ºC.

The wind pattern for the islands will include light winds from the north, becoming moderate in the northwest and southeast. Moderate northerly winds are expected in the midlands and summits.
