Plenilunio Festival in Santa Cruz de Tenerife: festive concerts and Christmas markets

This year's Plenilunio festival will be celebrated across 20 diverse locations in Tenerife's capital.

The upcoming weekend in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will be buzzing with excitement as the city gears up for the fifteenth edition of the Plenilunio festival. This year, the festivities are spread out across twenty unique venues in the city centre, offering an array of experiences including concerts, children’s events, cultural activities, street markets, and food stalls, topped off with colourful parades.


The event kicks off on Friday, 1 December, and will be active from 18:00 to 00:00. On Saturday, the festivities will continue from 11:00 to 00:00, and on Sunday, from 11:00 to 20:00.

Friday evening in Plaza de la Candelaria will be alive with performances by various artists including Julia Debis, ST Pedro, Dj Canibal, Melomana y Marlon, starting at 18:00 and continuing till midnight.

Carnival House will host a range of activities including guided tours and a children’s craft workshop, offering a blend of education and fun.

Saturday highlights two major markets: ‘Le Good Market’ in García Sanabria Park, which offers gastronomy, music, and workshops until midnight, and the traditional Christmas market in Plaza del Príncipe featuring theatre and stand-up comedy performances.

Alameda del Duque de Santa Elena will transform into a children’s play centre with workshops and inflatable attractions, open from 11:00 to 20:00. Plaza de España will house the traditional Christmas Market until 22:00.

Star performances at the Avenida Marítima esplanade include the Chicharrock Festival by day, featuring urban sports and workshops, and in the evening, music by popular artists like La Pantera and Pitingo.

Calle Castillo comes alive with the artistic parade “Timanfaya” and performances by Picoco’s Band, Cristina Ramos, and Pitingo.

Sunday continues with ‘Le Good Market’ in García Sanabria park and the traditional Christmas market in Plaza de España. Musical performances in Plaza de La Candelaria and the Chicharrok Festival at Avenida Marítima will entertain visitors, along with a children’s play centre in Alameda del Duque de Santa Elena.
