The Spanish Meteorological Agency (Aemet) predicts plenty of high clouds for today, the 5th of December, across the Canary Islands. Minimum temperatures are expected to see a slight increase, while the maximums could reach up to 24 degrees Celsius.
Marine conditions are forecasted to be calm, with variable winds at 1 to 3 and a north or north-westerly swell ranging from 1 to 2 metres.
As for the upcoming long weekend in December, the Aemet’s outlook for tomorrow, the 6th of December, includes mostly light cloudy skies with periods of high clouds. These may thicken to become cloudy, particularly on the southern and western slopes of the larger islands, from midday. Lanzarote and Fuerteventura might also experience occasional cloudy intervals.
There’s a slight chance of some light and sporadic rain during the afternoon, mainly in the interiors of the western islands. Temperatures are expected to rise modestly.
On Thursday, the 7th of December, the islands are likely to see high clouds, which will gradually clear as the day progresses. The early morning may bring intervals of low clouds in the north of the larger islands. Aemet does not exclude the possibility of occasional light rain. Temperature-wise, no significant changes are anticipated, with a slight decrease possible.
For Friday, Aemet anticipates a more settled day, with clear or partly cloudy skies and no expected rainfall. Additionally, a moderate trade wind is likely to prevail.
