The weather forecast for Monday, 18th December, on the Canary Islands predicts clear skies with light calima in the morning, as stated by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
Temperatures across the islands are expected to see little change. The mercury will range from a high of 22 degrees in Tenerife and La Gomera to a low of 14 degrees on El Hierro.
Winds are forecast to be moderate but with strong intervals, particularly affecting the southern midlands, the central massif, and the Acentejo region. In the latter area, very strong gusts are anticipated during the early morning hours.
Gran Canaria is expected to have clear skies with light calima during the morning. Similarly, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura will experience clear skies with light calima in the morning.
Temperature variations will be minimal, except for a slight decrease in minimum temperatures on the southern slopes. In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the temperature is expected to hover between a maximum of 21ºC and a minimum of 16ºC.
Regarding wind conditions, moderate easterly winds with strong intervals are expected on the summits and southern slopes during the central hours of the day. Very strong gusts are likely during these periods, with speeds potentially reaching up to 80 km/h locally. Additionally, there may be very strong gusts of up to 70 km/h on the eastern and western slopes.
