The Santa Cruz Town Hall, led by Councillor Javier Rivero of the Southwest district, is set to continue its Christmas holiday activities this weekend. The program includes children’s activities such as workshops and bouncy castles, alongside a Christmas market featuring crafts and local trade. These events will be held across La Gallega, Santa María del Mar-Los Alisios, and Acorán over three consecutive weekends, offering a variety of family-oriented activities and supporting local commerce.
This Saturday, December 23rd, from 11:00 to 14:00, Santa Catalina park in La Gallega will host children’s Christmas workshops and bouncy castles. Additionally, a Christmas market will open from 09:00, featuring a craft and local trade market. The morning will start with children’s activities, including a visit from Father Christmas at 12:00 and a street parade starting around 11:30. This initiative is in collaboration with the AAVV Guacimara.
On the following Saturday, December 30th, similar activities will take place in La Estrella park, Santa María del Mar-Los Alisios, from 11:00 to 14:00. These will include bouncy castles and Christmas-themed workshops, primarily aimed at younger family members. The series of events will continue on Friday, January 5th, at Moreiba square in Acorán, also from 11:00 to 14:00, maintaining the same theme and attractions for children and families.
Additionally, the Suroeste district office has placed Royal Mailboxes for children to send their letters to the Three Wise Men. These will be available throughout December until the eve of the Majesties’ arrival, with two located on Avenida de Los Majuelos (one in the El Sobradillo area and another in La Gallega) and one in La Estrella park (Santa María del Mar-Alisios).
