Sport and solidarity come together in the 1st edition of the companies’ race in the Canary Islands

The Diario de Avisos Foundation and Canaryrun are teaming up to host the first significant corporate solidarity sports event in Arona.

On February 24, Arona will transform into the epicenter of a significant sports and solidarity event set to make history in Tenerife: the “Carrera de las Empresas Fundación Diario de Avisos.” Orchestrated by Canaryrun and in partnership with the Diario de Avisos Foundation, this race transcends a mere athletic competition to celebrate the local business community, team unity, and altruism.

More than just a sports event, it’s a distinctive platform designed to fortify bonds among businesses and their employees, cultivating a sense of fellowship and collaboration. The Tenerife Companies Race presents an ideal chance for teams to demonstrate their athletic zeal and societal dedication.

This inaugural event will be held around the Antonio Domínguez Stadium, inviting company employees to form teams and select from various participation options. The course, meandering through the iconic Golden Mile and Arona’s coast, promises a stimulating and encouraging environment, perfect for solidifying relationships and sharing an unforgettable experience. Alongside the race, entertainment and a grand finale party await, complete with awards for the victors. The Antonio Domínguez Stadium will, for the first time, host this grand sports celebration, featuring live music, amusement, and more surprises.

CORPORATE SOLIDARITY IN THE CANARY ISLANDS

A pivotal element of this race is its commitment to solidarity. Each registration contributes €2 to the Diario de Avisos Foundation, which supports numerous social initiatives, notably cancer research and treatment. These funds will aid programs addressing one of society’s most pressing concerns, reinforcing the Foundation’s and participants’ dedication to this vital cause.

The Diario de Avisos Foundation has long stood as a catalyst for societal change and discourse. Its emphasis on nurturing talent, fostering excellence, and aiding the underprivileged reflects through this event, showcasing its mission and values.

Meanwhile, Canaryrun, recognized for its passion and expertise in the Canarian sports scene, brings its extensive experience in event organization. Alongside the Maskmororun Sports Association, they promote physical activity and values like empathy, solidarity, and equality, aiming to make sports a universal and inclusive tool to enrich the Canarian community.

The Carrera de las Empresas is designed to be inclusive and accessible for runners at all levels, offering 5 km and 10 km distances, categories for male, female, and mixed teams, a ‘Children’s Race’ for young runners, and a special category for self-employed individuals or those representing their companies solo. This ensures broad participation and a celebration of shared values, solidarity, and social commitment.

As the Antonio Domínguez Stadium becomes the hub for this unique race, every stride contributes to a collective effort for solidarity. With a time limit for completion and meticulous planning, the race guarantees a secure and fulfilling experience for all. Registrations for the “I Carrera de las Empresas Fundación Diario de Avisos” remain open until February 18 on the event’s official website.
