The Canary Islands to allocate 19 million euros for tourist infrastructure and public spaces

The Canary Islands authorities stress the necessity of jointly promoting projects to establish 'high-quality infrastructures.'

The call for 19 million euros to enhance tourist infrastructure and public spaces will be published in the Official Bulletin of the Canary Islands next week. This announcement was made by the Minister of Tourism and Employment of the Canary Islands Government, Jéssica de León, during a meeting with Adeje’s Mayor, José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga.


During the meeting, the councillor emphasized the significance of such gatherings with all tourist municipalities and stressed the necessity of collectively promoting projects to establish “high-quality infrastructures.”

Furthermore, he mentioned meetings conducted with universities to establish a new program in the Canary Islands aimed at educating future professionals in the tourism sector according to the requirements of companies.

Adeje’s Mayor, José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga, highlighted that the tourism industry in the islands is currently enjoying a favorable period, but to sustain this leadership position, it necessitates collaborative efforts from various authorities.
