The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a yellow warning for calima across the Canary Islands, with a particular focus on Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera, and El Hierro. Additionally, a yellow warning for strong winds has been announced for Tenerife and El Hierro.
According to Aemet’s prediction, El Hierro and the northern metropolitan area of Tenerife will experience very strong wind gusts. The suspended dust will predominantly affect the southern slopes of the western islands.

Weather-wise, a mix of cloudy and clear skies is anticipated, interspersed with intervals of high clouds. Temperature fluctuations are expected to be minimal, maintaining a range with lows around 17ºC and highs reaching up to 25ºC.

Looking ahead to Sunday, the forecast is more reassuring, with no adverse weather warnings expected for the islands. However, Aemet suggests a slight chance of light rain in the northern regions of Tenerife and La Palma during the morning hours. Temperature-wise, minimums are likely to remain stable with a slight increase in the maximum temperatures.
