Canary Islands weather forecast: calima and increasing temperatures

Maximum temperatures in the Canary Islands are expected to reach 26°C.

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has released its forecast for Tuesday, indicating cloudy intervals along the north and east coasts during the early hours in the Canary Islands. Moreover, a general uptick in temperatures is anticipated, particularly in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Additionally, calima is expected to make an entrance, accompanied by a moderate north-easterly wind, which is expected to subside as the afternoon progresses.

Across the midlands and mountainous regions, a prevailing southeast wind is anticipated, with greater intensity in the eastern province, where some strong winds may occur.

Sea conditions are expected to vary across the islands, with the western islands forecasted to experience easterly or variable winds of force 1 to 3, which will later intensify to northeast winds of force 2 to 4 and 4 or 5, leading to rough seas, swell, and localized swell. Conversely, the southwest coasts will see variable winds of force 1 to 3, resulting in rough seas and swell. In the western islands, easterly and northeasterly winds of force 4 or 5, swell, and locally strong swell are expected, while the west will experience variable winds of force 1 to 3.
