Mixed clouds and slight temperature increase across the Canary Islands

The weather forecast for the Canary Islands for this Wednesday, 13th of March, indicates some cloud cover and a small chance of rain.

Today’s weather forecast for the Canary Islands suggests varying intervals of low and high cloud cover, with a small chance of light, isolated rain showers, particularly on the more mountainous islands, with La Palma and Tenerife most likely to experience these conditions.


The temperatures are expected to experience a slight increase, with a more noticeable rise in higher areas where the warmth could reach moderate levels. In Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the mercury is anticipated to peak at 26 degrees and drop to a low of 14 degrees in Valverde.

Winds from the southwest will be moderate, diminishing to light breezes of variable directions towards the evening, as reported by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

In Gran Canaria, the day will start with mixed periods of high and low clouds, with a minimal chance of light, sporadic rain, but expect clearer skies by the afternoon.

For Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the forecast includes periods of both low and high cloudiness, transitioning to largely clear skies from the noon onwards, as per Aemet’s predictions.

A slight temperature increase is forecasted across the board, with the maximum temperatures seeing a sharper rise. In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, temperatures will fluctuate between a maximum of 23ºC and a minimum of 16ºC.

Regarding the wind, expect moderate southwestern breezes during the day, calming to gentle, variable winds during the night.
