Weather forecast for the Canary Islands: cloudy intervals with slight temperature changes

This is the weather forecast for the Canary Islands this Thursday, 14th of March.

Today’s weather forecast predicts cloudy intervals, gradually clearing up to become generally partly cloudy in the afternoon, as reported by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).


Minimum temperatures will see minimal fluctuations, while maximum temperatures will experience a slight decline, particularly along the coastlines. Thermometers will range from a maximum of 24 degrees in La Gomera and Tenerife to a minimum of 14 degrees in El Hierro.

Expect light winds blowing from the north to northeast, with a bit more strength towards the end of the day.

Looking ahead to Thursday, March 14th, Gran Canaria will experience intervals of clouds, clearing to partly cloudy skies in the afternoon. Towards the late hours, cloudy intervals may return to the northeast, with a low chance of weak, scattered, and occasional rain in the north during the early morning hours.

Meanwhile, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura will have mostly clear skies, with only a few cloudy periods during the first half of the day, according to the Aemet.

Minimum temperatures will remain relatively stable or slightly higher, while maximum temperatures will slightly decrease, particularly along the coastlines. In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, temperatures will range between 23°C and 18°C.

The wind will be light to moderate, blowing from the north to northeast, and intensifying from midday on the southeast and northwest slopes. Breezes can be expected along the southwest coast.
