The impending storm in the Canary Islands prompts the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) to issue yellow warnings this weekend. On Friday, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, and Lanzarote will face a yellow rain warning from 09:00 onwards, with an expected rainfall of 15 mm per hour.
The capital islands will experience impacts on southeast-facing midlands, while inland areas and southeast slopes will be affected in the two eastern islands. Additionally, La Gomera will face coastal phenomena, with winds of 50 to 61 km/h in the east and between La Gomera and Tenerife.

The situation worsens on Saturday when the entire archipelago will be at risk from storms, rain, and wind. Tenerife will see significant rainfall, particularly in the metropolitan area and north, with accumulated rainfall of 20 mm per hour. Thunderstorms and winds of up to 70 km/h are expected in the north.
La Palma, La Gomera, and El Hierro will also face yellow warnings for rain and wind, with similar rainfall and wind gusts. Gran Canaria will experience rain and thunderstorms in the north and summits, while Fuerteventura and Lanzarote will see rainfall mainly in inland areas and midlands facing north and northwest.
