Today’s weather forecast in the Canary Islands suggests predominantly clear skies with occasional high cloudiness. Some coastal regions, particularly those on the south and west sides of the larger islands, may experience intermittent cloudy periods and the possibility of early morning fog banks.


The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) notes a slight drop in temperatures, with the mercury ranging from a high of 27 degrees Celsius in San Sebastián de La Gomera to a low of 18 degrees Celsius in Santa Cruz de La Palma.

Winds are expected to be light and from the northeast, with coastal breezes. The summits will experience a light to moderate north wind, which will shift to the west as the day progresses.

In Gran Canaria, the sky will mostly be clear, though some high cloudiness may persist. The south and west coasts might see occasional cloudy intervals, with the potential for early morning and late evening fog banks. A light haze is also possible.

For Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, clear skies will dominate, though there could be some cloudiness on the northern and western slopes during the early hours, according to Aemet.

Temperatures across the islands are expected to be stable or slightly cooler, potentially reaching up to 30 degrees Celsius inland. The high in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is forecasted to be around 25 degrees Celsius, with a low of 18 degrees Celsius.

Northeast winds will be gentle but may strengthen slightly on the southeastern and northwestern slopes. Summit winds will be moderate from the north, decreasing and shifting westward throughout the day. Coastal areas will enjoy light breezes.
