Rocambolesc ice cream debuts in Tenerife

The venture by Jordi Roca of the Roca Brothers and his wife Ale Rivas introduces in Tenerife a boundless realm of ice cream creativity for those with a sweet tooth.

Until the 28th of this month, the first pop-up by Jordi Roca, one of the Roca Brothers from El Celler de Can Roca, and his wife Ale Rivas is open at the Royal Hideaway Corales hotel in Costa Adeje. This innovative ice cream parlor offers a wide array of imaginative desserts including soft ice creams, popsicles, tubs, chocolates, and more, all crafted to transport visitors into Jordi Roca’s fantastical world of sweets.

The concept, led by Jordi Roca and Ale Rivas, is accessible not only to hotel guests but also to anyone with a penchant for extraordinary desserts. The couple themselves inaugurated the kiosk, which is conveniently situated at one of the hotel’s entrances, where visitors can indulge in the various sweet treats of the Rocambolesc project. Since its inception 12 years ago in Girona, Rocambolesc has grown, with locations now in Barcelona and Madrid.

Among the standout offerings at this pop-up is a lactic dessert from El Celler de Can Roca’s menu, available as an ice cream made from sheep’s milk, guava, and cotton candy. Another highlight served at the launch was a refreshing strawberry and lime sorbet.

The kiosk operates from noon until 9:30 p.m. daily, except on Mondays when it is closed. The diverse menu includes delights such as milk chocolate, cookie and caramel bars; white chocolate with sugar stars; milk chocolate and salted caramel; dragees with baked apple and milk chocolate; and mandarin and bergamot jelly beans, among other unique flavours and varieties.
