La Laguna celebrates Family Day with massive public turnout

Throughout the day this Saturday, an extensive programme of activities will take place in five areas of the town centre of San Cristobal de La Laguna.

This Saturday, La Laguna comes alive with the celebration of Family Day, an event organized by the City Council through the Department of Social Welfare in collaboration with the areas of Commerce, Sports, and Youth. The event features an extensive program of leisure, recreational, and sports activities throughout the day in the city centre. By midday, the response from the public has been overwhelming, with a large number of people participating in activities across five areas of the town centre, where the presence of children and their families has been predominant.

The festivities began shortly after 10:00 am with a parade by the 101 Brass Band, whose lively performance encouraged people to take to the streets and enjoy the festive atmosphere. The good weather throughout the morning contributed to even greater participation.
