The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts that Tuesday will bring few cloudy skies to the Canary Islands, with clearings developing during the day, especially in the southern half of the islands. Intervals of intermittent clouds may result in weak and occasional showers in the northern parts of certain islands.
Wind Conditions
Moderate northeast winds are expected, with possible strong local gusts in the northwest and southeast extremes of the islands. From midday onwards, strong winds will prevail on the southeast and northwest coasts and slopes, particularly in Gran Canaria and Tenerife. Breezes will dominate the southwest coasts, while moderate northerly breezes will ease towards the end of the day on the summits.
Temperature Forecast
Minimum temperatures will remain unchanged, while maximum temperatures will be stable or slightly higher in Tenerife and La Palma. Thermometers will range between 24 degrees in the two capitals of the Archipelago and 18 degrees in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Marine Conditions
In the waters off the Canary Islands, northeast winds of force 3 to 5 are anticipated, accompanied by swell or heavy swell and a north swell of around 1 metre.
These conditions highlight the return of the trade winds, bringing both the characteristic breezes and moderate temperatures that define the region’s unique weather patterns.
