The Canary Islands are bringing their most characteristic flavors to Madrid in celebration of Canary Islands Day. From 27 May to 1 June, the Mercado de la Paz will host a stall showcasing local products, raffles, tastings, and a showcooking event under the campaign “Celebramos lo que somos” (We celebrate what we are).
Organized by the regional government through Proexca and in collaboration with Gestión del Medio Rural, this initiative aims to promote Canarian gastronomy in the Spanish capital, providing a platform for local companies to showcase their products and create marketing opportunities.

Daily Product Features:
- Monday: Bolaños cheese, Virginia mojo, Veganorte wine cellar.
- Tuesday: Efigenia palm honey, Cooperativa de El Hierro cheese, El Lomo winery.
- Wednesday: Caprarius cheese, Guachinerfe guava cream, Niray wine.
- Thursday: Maxorata cheese, La Piña gofio, Cándido Hernández Pío winery.
- Friday: Platé mango vinegar, mojo de la Abuela Flora, bodega Yaiza.
- Saturday: Gofio Imendi, almogrote La Reina, rum La Aldea.
Throughout the week, visitors will also have the chance to taste Tirma, Bimbachitos, and Salinas de Janubio salt.
Special Events

On Canary Islands Day, 30 May, a live showcooking event featuring local cuisine will begin at 13:00. Sponsored by Binter Canarias, the event will include a raffle for trips to the islands, celebrating the launch of a new route with Madrid.
Come to stall 92 at the Mercado de la Paz from 10:00 to 19:00 (Saturday from 10:00 to 15:00) to experience the best of Canarian food and participate in these exciting events.
