The 30th of May, Canary Islands’ Day, is one of the most significant dates of the year in the Islands, when many people take the opportunity to go on a long weekend break. Few establishments remain open to the public as it is a regional holiday. So, what is open in Tenerife?
Day of the Canary Islands: General Guidelines

According to the Order of 27 June 2011 of the Ministry of Employment, Industry and Commerce of the Canary Islands Government, in the areas considered Zones of Great Tourist Influence, commercial establishments within them have complete freedom to determine the days and hours that they will remain open to the public. For the restaurant sector, the closing time of the terraces may be increased by one hour with respect to the rest of the municipal territory, both in winter and in the summer period.
