The Aemet weather agency has updated its forecast for the Canary Islands, projecting minimal temperature changes with readings varying from a high of 25 degrees Celsius in Tenerife to a low of 14 degrees on El Hierro.
This Saturday, the forecast anticipates cloudy conditions in the northern parts of the islands with a slight chance of drizzle in the midlands during the early morning, particularly in the northeast. The afternoon is expected to bring widespread clear skies in these areas.
For the other regions, the skies will mostly be clear or slightly cloudy, with occasional cloudiness in the western parts during the morning, as reported by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
Temperature levels will stay consistent, with the thermometer peaking at 25 degrees in Tenerife and dropping to 14 degrees in El Hierro. Wind patterns will include strong gusts in the southeast and extreme west, with lighter breezes prevalent along the southwest coastlines.
In Las Palmas, particularly in the northern regions of Gran Canaria below altitudes of 1,000 to 1,100 metres, there will be cloudy intervals with predominantly partly cloudy skies in the afternoon; elsewhere, the weather will be partly cloudy or clear.
Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are expected to experience mainly partly cloudy or clear skies, though some cloudiness may occur in the north during the early and late hours.
Temperature-wise, the minimums will see little variation, while the maximums are expected to rise slightly, especially in elevated areas. In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, temperatures will range between a maximum of 25°C and a minimum of 20°C.
Wind conditions across the islands will feature strong trade winds on the north-western and south-eastern slopes, occasionally intensifying to very strong gusts. Gentle breezes will continue to dominate the southwest coasts.
